Igniting the cognac was a trip. What a huge flame! I hope my eyebrows grow back eventually. The dish was delicious and it's really nothing more complicated than regular beef stew. The booze (cognac and red wine) make the dish. I served it over egg noodles with a crusty baguette for dipping.
seafood chowder. I defrosted my lobster stock and set off to the seafood market for scallops, shrimp, crab, and mahi mahi chunks. Not a bad dinner. Can you believe I forgot to add heavy cream at the end? It really didn't need it
